Haute Fare in Lovettsville? Finding snobby cuisine in Lovettsville is a little like finding a Ruth Chris steakhouse in rural Ethiopia. After you come to terms with the cultural contrast and pinch yourself to make sure you aren't dreaming, then you can settle down and enjoy a memorable meal. The wine list was incredible; a large selection and not overpriced.

Excellent food in casual environment. The menu changes seasonally as the chef uses fresh ingredients from local farmers/farm markets. Hence the name, from the market to your table.

This three-star Michelin chef really shines at his own place. His food is worth the trip from DC.

I would...give them 4.5 stars. You're hearing this from a non-local. The view of the rural areas and Shenandoah around there was dazzling after driving for about 1.5 hours (one-way) from around Washington, DC. Lovettsville is way off the beaten paths.

Steak came out perfectly juicy and tender. Grits topped with cheese stayed hot and fresh since that came in a cast-iron skillet.

I will definitely keep this in mind whenever I feel like getting away. I'll be mentioning this a lot when chatting with my buddies.
